Collective Intelligence (CI) refers to the cultivation of intelligence, by and throughout our species, as both a product and process:
- As a product, intelligence can be thought of as the “solid” form of useful mind substance, which is the result/output of thinking/processing; it can be thought of as meaningfully synthesised data/info/knowledge/wisdom (DIKW]).
- As a process, intelligence can be thought of as the more intangible, “liquid” medium through which thought is able to take form/shape, and crystallise into the intelligence product.
This intelligence exists within and between all minds, and CI refers to the total sum (or perhaps product, if it is thought of as more than sum of its parts) of all the (1) products of individual intelligence and (2) abilities to formulate intelligence products (individual intelligence, as process) and (3) any intelligence that could be gleaned/utilised from/via the integration of these intelligences - that is, latent intelligence that is hidden/locked away until minds are sufficiently integrated, where this integration entails (enables and is enabled by) mindscaping.
