Oh Glory, I bask and bathe in you, As I contemplate my own story, New addition: A moment of glory.
Oh Glory, You tempt me, With your promises of Importance, Recognition, Appreciation and Love.
But I see through your tricks, For you are the barrier to Those very sentiments.
Not that I should seek them, anyway… Seekless, I should become, But seeking is my nature. Isn’t it?
Perhaps an initial nature, A faux disposition, Which must be conquered? No… Dissolved, Into the greater, true nature Of who we really are.
So Glory, You grasp and clasp us, And tighten your grip As you notice that We’re shaking you loose.
We invite you: Do your best. For each time you surface, We resist. And each time we succeed, Your power depletes.
Look Glory: You’re evaporating, And we’re crystallising.
