I look around, And I’m dazzled By the world - By the beauty, The sunkissed everything On this beautiful day; The chirping birds The happiness glow, On the outside, Is reflected within me. A river of thought Flows through my mind, Guided by wonder, awe And reverence of all.
Though this beauty, Is not so blatant everywhere… Is it?
Must it be found, In the ditches of despair, Caverns of gloom And silos of suffering, That lurk in all corners Of a world that, to me, Appears so imperfectly perfect, So beautiful?
Or is this beauty only available To the lucky ones, One of whom is me?
Or perhaps, Beauty truly is, “In the eye of the beholder” And my eye has been trained, From birth, To see it in everything Due to the beauty That surrounded me, As my perspective formed.
I’m frazzled, Just as I’m dazzled. Because as I contemplate This dazzling sensation, Others have no luxury of Dazzlement. They experience only Frazzlement.
So can I truly know what it means To be frazzled? Should I stick to my dazzled privilege? Or reject it, And become only… Frazzled?
No. I shall remain both frazzled, And dazzled, So that I have the tools To help dazzle and de-frazzle The world.
