What even is consciousness?
For now, will just default to the common/collective conception, whatever that is. Something to do with capacity for subjective experience, but potentially beyond this, if this capacity is considered an emergent property of the crystallisation of a fundamental substance that pervades (or is) the universe (panpsychism).
